AIM

This programme is aimed at helping managers understand that developing an overall sense of team work is different from building an effective, focused work team when you consider team building approaches.

METHODOLOGY

Workshop based approach with high levels of delegate activity. Fundamental to this is the opportunity for delegates to practice behaviours and receive quality feedback.

Course Content

  • Team definitions, types of teams, team’s vs. groups, teambuilding vs. team working.
  • Challenges that teams can come up against and suggestions for dealing with them.
  • Reviewing the importance of Personal Development, Personal Effectiveness and importance of how I present myself.
  • Clear team objectives and individual responsibilities which are central to the teambuilding process.
  • Reviewing challenges in effective communication including the role of values/assumptions.
  • Leadership styles, group behaviour and good leadership qualities.
  • Moving from group to team status in four stages; typical barriers facing teams and suggestions for overcoming them. ·         Personal Development Plan.

Trainer Profile

Charlie Mernagh is an associate director and has managed sales teams for over 22 years covering the entire south and south east of Ireland and parts of Munster as Senior District Manager of an Insurance Company. His experience covers business development, management training and development, customer care, and recruitment.

 

Charlie has spent many years training and mentoring sales people and sales managers both on the road and in the classroom.
